The $50,000 grant from the MSRC helped the City replace two vehicles powered by diesel that were over 20 years old. A knuckle boom crane truck and a man lift truck were ordered, received and have been put in service. The vehicles had to be retrofitted to fuel with Compressed Natural Gas. The vehicles are a great improvement over the old vehicles manufactured in the early 80s. The new vehicles not only have state of the art equipment affixed to them, but they also have all of the advanced safety features of late model vehicles. The vehicles were sold to an exporter for use outside of California in accordance with title 13, California Code of Regulations, section 2022.1(b) on 10/20/2007. See enclosed file regarding unit 200 and 350.
