MSRC Award
$10,000.00
Project Background

Contractor repaired and constructed 5,300 feet of sidewalk on the south side of Baseline Road. Previously, the sidewalks were intermittent. Contractor also included ramps for handicap access, curbing, and driveway cuts in the construction project.

Project Implementation

The south side of Baseline Road in the City of Claremont now has continuous sidewalks. Areas north and south of Baseline benefit from a pedestrian standpoint and communities east of Claremont receive the benefit of cleaner air due to prevailing winds.

Project Results Description

Emission reductions were not calculated as the pedestrian traffic, which increased as a result of this project, was already emission free. The number of vehicles reduced due to this project was not measurable.

Project Status Description

Pictures of the sidewalks in various places, construction details, and explanations of the delays incurred.
