Contractor converted twenty-eight vehicles from diesel to liquefied natural gas (LNG) engines. Caterpillar 3176B engines were converted to Dual-Fuel, fueled by LNG. Twenty-two of the vehicles are operated by Anaheim Disposal Company, servicing the Cities of Anaheim, Brea, Garden Grove, Placentia, Villa Park, and Yorba Linda. Two of the vehicles were operated by Trucking Unlimited at the Anaheim Disposal Site. The Perrier Group utilized six trucks for hauling bulk water in the local region of Ontario. Contractor installed Quick Response Stations (QRS) at the Perrier facility in Ontario. The existing stations in Anaheim at the Disposal Site will be utilized as well.

The Anaheim Disposal Company operates trucks in Anaheim, Brea, Garden Grove, Placentia, Villa Park, and Yorba Linda. The Perrier trucks operate locally in Ontario. The communities listed above and those adjacent to the Perrier routes benefit from the cleaner emissions.
It is estimated that these conversions will result in the reduction of Nitrous Oxide (NOx) emissions in the amount of 21,678 pounds per year. Assuming a nominal ten year vehicle life, the total NOx reduction attributable to this project is estimated to be approximately 216,780 pounds. An indirect emissions benefit derived from ths project is attributable to the mobile refueling truk, which enaables fleets to operate their clean fuel vehicles until a permanent LNG refueling capability is secured.
