Project Background

Contractor introduced a new natural gas engine model and demonstrated its performance and durability. United Parcel Service (UPS) provided a vehicle to be converted to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), provided project support, paid operating costs of the vehicle, and maintained both the CNG model and a diesel-fueled truck which served as a control vehicle during the demonstration phase.
