Waste Mangement of the Desert added fourteen (14) natural gas residential and commercial refuse collection trucks to their fleet. Eleven (11) of the trucks are liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueled Mack trucks powered by the Mack E7G 325 horsepower LNG engine. The remaining three trucks are compressed natural gas (CNG), powered using the Cummins 8.3 liter C Plus natural gas engine. Nine of the Mack trucks are equipped with Wittke front load bodies and two are roll-off bodies. The three Freightliner trucks have McNeilus side load bodies. The fourteen new vehicles have been deployed at Waste Management's Palm Desert facility. Waste Management currently operates 70 natural gas vehicles at their Palm Desert facility.
