Clean Transportation Funding from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) will be expanding its Work Program from a one-year to a two-year funding cycle for fiscal years 2012-13 through 2013-14. The Work Program comprises the categories of projects for which the MSRC will make funding available in the upcoming fiscal years. The MSRC has approximately $14 million in Clean Transportation Funding available each fiscal year, so expanding the Work Program to two years will pool nearly $30 million to invest in Southern California
More electric vehicles (EVs) were on display at the recent LA Auto Show than have ever been exhibited at the show. The growing EV marketplace was also highlighted during a briefing held by the California Electric Transportation Coalition (CalETC) that featured senior California government leaders, car manufacturer representatives and several EV drivers who shared their real world experiences
With “low-hanging fruit” and relatively inexpensive pollution reduction options drying up, the Board and Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) of the MSRC used its 2012 annual retreat to explore some bold new approaches for addressing clean transportation priorities during the next funding cycle.
